As a result of population increases in and around Doha, Qatar, and the need for improved wastewater treatment, the Public Works Authority of Doha awarded, in 2007, a “Build Own Operate” (“BOO”) Contract to Keppel Seghers Engineering, Singapore.
After Cost/Benefit and technical evaluations, C&S Brand Australian Filter Coal, was preferred for incorporation in the Multi-media Granular Filters.
James Cumming & Sons Pty Ltd supplied 2,800 cubic metres of C&S Brand Australian Filter Coal, Effective Size = 1.5 – 1.6mm, Uniformity Coefficient 1.4 maximum, for this project. The product was delivered on time, and wholly within specification.
The plant commenced operation in December 2015 – January 2016.
