Granular Purazorb Activated Carbon has coarser particles, making it ideal for contractors and fixed beds, providing longer-lasting filtration. This makes it ideal for continuous water treatment systems like municipal water plants and industrial filtration processes. Powdered Purazorb has a larger external surface area, offering quicker adsorption, allowing for greater surface area as a consumable dosed into treatment plants instead of being used as a granular filter media for contact time making it more ideal for more ad-hoc applications or algal taste and odour events. Your choice should be based on your system’s flow rate, the available infrastructure/treatment trains and the specific contaminants you have the contact time to remove.
